The compounded PVC mix is fed into a series of heated, heavy-duty rollers in a machine called a calender.
The material is pressed and rolled under precise temperature and pressure into a continuous sheet of uniform thickness and density. This step forms the core structural layer of the floor.
A critical step for performance and longevity. A liquid polyurethane (PU) or reinforced urethane coating is applied evenly onto the surface of the calendered sheet.
